MSR Mechanical is looking for an experienced Journeyman level Commercial Service Technician to join our growing team!
Please Note: This is a position affiliated with a Local Union, with an extremely competitive pay and benefit package. Current Union membership is not required and will be facilitated by employer for the right candidate
Responsibilities and skills:
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all major mechanical equipment; diagnoses equipment malfunctions and operating efficiency of mechanical equipment
- Install and replace all types of pumps, refrigeration equipment, pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, ventilation, and air distribution equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams, or other instructions
- Repair and rebuild complex commercial refrigeration and environmental systems, touring and inspecting regularly
- Keep all mechanical rooms clean, orderly, and organized
- Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks using electronic meters, pressure gauges or soap-and-water solution
- Order and secures materials for jobs as needed
- Test electrical circuits or components to determine necessary repairs
- Connect systems to refrigerants line sets, air ducts, and other components
- Inspect and maintain customers’ refrigeration and EMS systems
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area
- Document all performed work in app-based dispatch program with detailed legible notes to customer’s satisfaction
- Travel to worksites
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- GED or High School diploma
- Two (2) year Technical College course in HVAC/Refrigeration required
- EPA Universal Certification
- Requires experience in senior level refrigeration trade
- Knowledge of all service aspects of all EMS systems
- Reading and understanding schematics
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively with customers one-on-one
