2021 is here!

In 2021, I will be using this platform to communicate weekly messages on safety. You will see toolbox talks, policy documents, best practices, and current events.

This year, each month will carry a theme that is critical to our safety success as an organization. Each week on Friday, you will see a message on the topic of the month, with some ancillary topics thrown in as well. As we proceed through the year, there will be training that will be assigned to you in the Learning Management System, depending on your job function. 

All of my policy documents are built straight from OSHA regulation. I try to make it easier to read than OSHA. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please reach out to me.

I have attached our fall protection policy for everyone to review. If you are in an office or admin environment, you may think it does not apply to you… I still encourage everyone to understand the risks our employees are placed in with their job functions, so I encourage everyone to take a look.

Falls are the number one cited standard again in 2020. It has been the number one cited standard for over 10 years. They are some of the most severe injuries we have in terms of lost time, medical expenses, and rehabilitation.
