This is an exciting time to join TAG’s team at a high-growth stage. TAG is looking for an Expeditor with experience working in the HVAC/R and Construction industry. The Expeditor position requires an excellent sense of time management, problem solving, as well as excellent attention to detail in a deadline driven environment. In this role, the Expeditor will have the ability to work from home and 2 times per week will go to the office.
We are looking for an Estimator / Expeditor in the Texas area.
Responsibilities and skills:
- Search websites for any quotes pending in websites
- Create PO’s and place orders while organizing transportation and follow the shipment to delivery
- Enhance business margins by making intelligent price decisions through the application of product knowledge and delivery capabilities
- Ensure continual improvement of quoting process by scrubbing calls for billing
- Receive calls from customers and obtain and review customer documentation for accuracy, completeness, and exactness
- Maintain accurate paperwork and job files to facilitate smooth transition to other departments
- Assist dispatch in procuring parts for technicians on jobs and notify dispatch when parts arrive
- Obtain quotes from technicians via email and/or phone and review each quote to add or remove items as needed
- Drive quotes by getting pricing from multiple sources and then begin working up quotes for customers
- Interface with technician supervisors on any issues relating to quotes
- Create after the facts quotes and submit for approval
- Create and track approval or rejection of quotes via third party website daily
- Order customer parts and provide ETA to customers
- Ensure all parts are tracked and arrive at the correct destination, and ensure all parts are ready for scheduling upon parts arrival
- Assists technicians in finding any parts that they may need while on the job site
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and transportation
Skills/Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience as a quoter or expeditor in the HVAC/R industry a plus
- Good Computer proficiency
- High school diploma or general education degree
- HVAC industry knowledge or experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities
- Self-motivated and work well with others
- Demonstrates time management skills
- Flexibility and desire to take on additional responsibilities
- Willing to learn and grow with the company
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
