As Chief Operating Officer, U.S., Adam Knutz oversees operational execution and alignment across TAG’s U.S. business units. Adam leads with a clear conviction: individual development is the catalyst that shapes organizational success. His leadership philosophy has driven impressive results throughout his career, including the transformation of Refrigeration Unlimited (RUI) from a legacy regional business into an industry leader, doubling headcount and quadrupling revenue before joining TAG in 2018.
Adam’s leadership at TAG has supported the successful integration of multiple acquisitions, consistent year-over-year revenue growth, and the expansion of operations into seven states. In his current role, Adam works closely with operational leaders and key support teams to strengthen execution, improve alignment, and advance TAG’s continued growth across the U.S.
Adam holds a B.S. in Engineering from Western Washington University and a Managing for High Performance & Retention Certificate from the University of Washington. He maintains specialized licensing for work in Hawaii and actively supports industry advancement through his service on the Hussmann Advisory Board and involvement with the Mechanical Contractors Association.
Along with expertise in commercial refrigeration and operations leadership, Adam’s diverse background includes work as a crash scene forensics engineer and traveling across the U.S. to collect data for reconstructive depositions. He has a deep commitment to community service that extends to organizations like Greentrike Children’s Museum and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
